The Witcher for Netflix signs new fight choreographer without the Blaviken fighter [VIDEO]

The baton for The Witcher will pass to a veteran of Berlin Station, Ultimate Justice and Fotoautomat Man.

Many things can be criticized for Season 1 of The Witcher on Netflix, but the fighting is not one of them, especially the Blaviken fight, considered by more than one as one of the best that the show offered. Unfortunately, the boss fight choreographer Vladimir Furdik announced at the beginning of the year his departure from the project and, worse still, Wolfgang Stegemann, who specifically took over the sequence in Blaviken, will not be available either, leaving the task of coordinating the Fights of the new season in the hands of Thomas Hacikoglu, who may be unknown to most.

Thomas Hacikoglu – who can be seen in the 2:40 minute behind the scenes – has been a stunt choreographer in the Berlin Station spy series, the action movie Ultimate Justice and, more recently, Fotoautomat Man, of which very little is known. In The Witcher, he was assistant to the aforementioned Wolfgang Stegemann, precisely in the Blaviken fight, and now he will report to Adam Horton who will be the general coordinator of stunts or stunts of the production.

It should be noted that Wolfgang Stegemann who, as we mentioned, did wonders in the Blaviken fight, was signed by Henry Cavill himself (Geralt de Rivia), with whom he shared credits in Mission: Impossible – Fallout, but the filming of Mission: Impossible 7 It is underway in Italy and with setbacks due to the coronavirus, which surely further complicated its participation in The Witcher, Season 2.

This is not the only change in production, since new directors and actors will join the show, and there was also a change in the costume department, where Taim Aslam was replaced by Lucinda Wright. Season 2 of The Witcher is expected in 2021 with the question of who will play Vesemir still in the air.
