Halo Infinite: Leaks… Via Toy Figures?

343 Industries‘ next big game (Microsoft has gone all-in with it…) leaks in an unusual format.

Halo Infinite was announced by Microsoft nearly two years ago at E3 2018. Already then, Master Chief’s next adventure was touted to be a next-gen concept, but since then, 343 Industries didn’t say much about it. The game is in development, and it should be an Xbox Series X launch title, even if it’s also going to be on the PC and the Xbox One, too!

The weird thing is that Halo Infinite is far from being complete, but it might already have toy figures. A Twitter account was talking about it, but the user quickly wiped everything. As usual, the Internet never forgets, and the pictures were posted on the ResetEra forums. Nothing is official yet, keep in mind!

So we see two images. The first one is the Brute Warrior – it’s an enemy type we last saw in 2007. That’s when Halo 3 came out, and it could be named as the high point of the franchise (it was a killer app for the Xbox 360 – Halo 4, launched in 2012 also on the X360, might have been too controversial by that point…), and that’s when we saw the Brute-s. The other image has the Spartan Gungnir armour, with some new weapons.

If all this is not a hoax, then someone will get their ass kicked at Mattel. Mattel owns the Construx brand, which runs as Mega Construx nowadays. So Microsoft could have paid Mattel to create toy figures, but it might all come to no avail (or no job in someone’s case…).

Let’s hope that we will see and hear more of 343 Industries’ game shortly, potentially at Microsoft’s E3 replacement show. This game is meant to be one of the pillars of the Xbox Series X, so if the Redmond-based company flops with it, Sony might easily take the next console generation home with the PlayStation 5…
