Tales Of Arise: A Brief Glimpse Of New Footage [VIDEO]

We are not joking when we say brief – the new game in the Tales of series, Tales of Arise can be seen for a whopping four (4!) seconds in the newest promotional video of Bandai Namco Studios.

What a nice joke by Bandai Namco. They announced Takes of Arise in June 2019, and at that time, it was said to be in development for PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC. Since then, we suspect that Bandai Namco has either shifted it to the next-gen consoles (replacing the PlayStation 4, Xbox One duo with the PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X pairing) or that it has become a cross-gen project (meaning all four consoles would receive it).

Bandai Namco has recently (about two weeks ago) delayed Tales of Arise, so it will not arrive in 2020. „[…] We have decided to delay the launch timing of Tales of Arise, the latest title in the Tales of series. The goal for Tales of Arise is to provide a familiar but innovative gameplay experience to fans of the series while pushing the technical envelope to deliver a high level of graphical quality to impress both long-time players and those who have never played a Tales of game. Development on the title has moved steadily forward in 2020 as we overcame challenges along the way.

While COVID-19 has affected some aspects of development, we’ve done our best to adapt to the situation and have implemented remote development capabilities for our team. However, we will need more time to achieve the quality and provide the gorgeous experience we envision for our players, and therefore we decided to delay the launch timing for Tales of Arise. A new launch window update will be provided once we have more details to share. In the meantime, the determination of our development team has not weakened. It is always darkest before the dawn […]”, Yusuke Tomizawa, the producer of Tales of Arise wrote.

Still, we can’t get over how they had the balls to show the game as such not long after it getting delayed.

Still, she likes puzzle and story-oriented games, like Sherlock Holmes: Crimes & Punishments, which is her favourite title. She also played The Sims 3, but after accidentally killing a whole sim family, swore not to play it again. (For our office address, email and phone number check out our IMPRESSUM)
