Virtual Reality 2.0 – VR Goes Further Thanks To A Haptic Vest [VIDEO]

The haptic vest developed for virtual reality allows you to feel the games on your skin – complete realism is one touch away now.

OWO promises to offer up to 30 different physical sensations in real-time.

The technology surrounding virtual reality continues to search for the ultimate device that makes gamers feel the best immersive experience. Science fiction has already shown us the way with works like Star Trek, The Matrix or the latest, Ready Player One, where VR games could replace much of people’s real lives, but that is still a long way off.

OWO is a vest developed by OWO Game that brings us a little closer to that realism that virtual reality pursues. The garment promises to make its users feel up to 30 different sensations in real-time, such as shooting, wind, weight lifting, driving and much more.

It is not yet for sale, but a form is available on the official OWO website to receive an email alert of its release date and various promotions. In addition, they also have a list of applications that they have developed so that the vest technology can be tested once purchased.

Although none of the great VR video games we know of, such as Half-Life: Alyx or Marvel’s Iron Man are planning to be compatible with this garment, the company does have a form for development studios to contact them and agree on possible collaborations.
