Cyberpunk 2077: The November Release Remains

“We still plan to release the game later this year.” – says CD Project RED, the studio does not expect another delay of Cyberpunk 2077.

As we approach what would have been the second release date for Cyberpunk 2077, Polish studio CD Projekt RED reaffirms current plans by confirming that the game will be available in the last quarter of the year. For those who may not remember, Cyberpunk 2077 was originally dated April 2020, although a delay postponed its release until September of this year. And later, another change of dates moved the plans until November.

Now, CD Projekt RED has published the corporate report where they review the company’s activities in the first half of 2020, and its plans for the second period of the year. And here, those responsible make it clear that Cyberpunk 2077 is still planned for the last quarter of the year: “The launch of Cyberpunk 2077 and the final phase of its marketing campaign are both set for the fourth quarter of the year.

While the company notes that its revenue may be affected by the costs of promotion and preparations for the premiere of Cyberpunk 2077, these events “are expected to have a positive effect on the group’s revenues and sales, as well as profits. net during the corresponding period“. Beyond gaming, the company’s report highlights that CD Projekt RED’s revenues have grown by 70% compared to the first half of 2019, and more importantly, its net profits almost tripled during this last period.

It is good news that the company has no further changes planned for the date of Cyberpunk 2077, which, if all goes well, will be released on November 19. Their study recently denied that the game is going to take up 200GB of storage, and they’ve also dazzled with a look at the game on Nvidia’s new 3000 series.
