Everwild: The Creators Talk About The Universe Of The Game [VIDEO]

We now know that we will control an Eternal during Everwild who have a special relationship with plants and animals.

This is not just a natural world, it is a world of history, a world of things to discover,” explains Louise O’Connor, Executive Producer of Everwild, in the new video commenting on the latest Everwild trailer. It may sound too intangible, but the truth is that we are talking about one of the strongest clues for a beautiful, inspiring and promising video game … that has remained shrouded in mystery even after being seen several times.

Back in July, Rare acknowledged that the details of Everwild’s gameplay are still being debated. Meanwhile, the parents of Sea of Thieves seem determined to make the most of everything that surrounds the game universe. So any small details about the creatures and characters that we have seen so far is a great advance. What does the British team bring to the table this time?

One of the first details that are discussed in the video is that the players play the role of Eternals (eternal), although it is probably too early to know why they have that specific name. In case it was not clear, these characters are in communion with nature – we have seen them interact with flowering deer, with a kind of bird or bat that helps us discover elements of the world in exchange for food, and we will also see surprising creatures, like that huge salamander that carries other beings in its mouth.

It’s a world of things to discover.

Perhaps the most interesting of all is that idea that we discussed above, according to which the Everwild universe is not only observed but also understood and discovered as we explore and understand who are the spirits that the Eternal conjure in it. trailer or things that have happened in the world.

From how it sounds, personally I would say that we are facing a game where the playability is largely defined by the relationship between our character and the animals around him; where exploring and solving the puzzles of the world make up our main activities. It’s just an idea, of course: the reality is that we will still have to wait to see this PC and Xbox Series X game in motion.

In the meantime though, while you wait for that, read our preview of Everwild!
