Crash Bandicoot 4: It’s About Time Will Have With Several Multiplayer Modes

You don’t have to necessarily break the boxes alone, as Toys For Bob‘s title (which is so close to its launch that it’s not under 100% development anymore) will offer several cooperative and competitive game modes.

IGN Spain has published the following details, but they probably did it too early because the post has been removed, but you can find an Archive version here and a Google cached version here. Via these links, you can learn that the new Crash game’s modes will have options for 2-4 players, too, featuring Crask, Coco, and their respective fake versions (Fake Crash, Fake Coco).

The competitive modes can be found under Bandicoot Battle. Checkpoint Race will be a competitive roundtrip series of races, where the goal is to hit the checkpoint in the fastest time possible. The goal is to get the most checkpoint wins. You can keep track of your rivals’ progress via their respective ghosts. In Crate Combo, you need to score the most points by breaking the most boxes as fast as you can. Their value increases as you break them (the maximum score is 32/box), but if you are too late, you break the chain and their value resets. The battle ends when you reach a checkpoint or die.

Cooperative gameplay is possible via Pass N. Play. Up to four players can switch control from one player to another as they progress through the story and complete the game’s levels in either their standard or N. Verted mode. These game modes will not offer any online leaderboards and clear all stats following a multiplayer session.

Activision Blizzard will publish Crash Bandicoot 4: It’s About Time on October 2 for PlayStation 4 and Xbox One on. If you pre-order the game, a demo will be available until launch day. We wrote about it before. The PC and Nintendo Switch versions will likely not launch until Fall 2021.
