The Last of Us Remastered receives an update on PS4 that reduces loading times

Naughty Dog has improved this section by surprise.

One of the great games of the PlayStation 3 generation and that has also had its success on PlayStation 4 is The Last of Us. The Naughty Dog video game was released on PS3 in June 2013 and the version with graphical improvements for PS4, The Last of Us Remastered, did so in July 2014. Now, this version has been updated by surprise and has improved the times loading.

As the wccftech website reports, the game had not been updated for more than a year and the new version 1.1, which occupies about 500 Mb, has made the loading times of the TLoU remaster almost non-existent. This update also affects the game’s DLC, Left Behind. Although the patch notes only say that bugs have been fixed, the reality goes further.

Streamer Anthony Calabrese tweeted about this question, claiming that game performance has improved for both HDD and SSD. It is quite likely also that the game is preparing for the launch of PlayStation 5, like others that have received updates these days, such as God of War or Final Fantasy VII Remake.

The Last of Us Remastered will be part of the PlayStation Plus Collection, a catalogue of PS4 games that will be available on PS5 for free if we are subscribed to PlayStation Plus. If so much talking about the first TLoU has made you nostalgic, we strongly recommend that you look back at our original review of this great game.
