CD Projekt RED‘s game received a bigger update the other day, but the 1.1 patch is reportedly making Cyberpunk 2077 unbeatable…
Players are saying on Reddit that the Down on the Street mission is broken. The update was meant to address a bug where Takemura wouldn’t call. This is necessary to advance the mission and the game. However, a new bug can occur: Takemura would call you… but not say anything. Reports claim that reverting to an older save or creating a new one doesn’t help the issue.
There’s one workaround solution for it floating around. Call Judy before Takemura grabs the phone. When he calls you, hang up the line, attempt a side job (Delamain was tested to work), wait 24 hours in-game, and then Takemura would call you again, but it would be the proper call as intended, meaning Down on the Street would be completable. This sounds confusing, and we still have to figure out how this can even happen with the game…
The 1.1 patch, according to ElAnalistaDeBits, seems to have improved the performance of Cyberpunk 2077 on consoles. Here’s what he had to say about the PlayStation 4 port: „The average resolution has increased, but remains within the already established dynamic resolution. The subtitles now have a bug that was not there before. They can stay on the screen during gameplay. The pop-in has improved substantially. As a result, the framerate is somewhat more unstable now. The density of pedestrians has not changed. It’s still quite a lower number than on Xbox. Vehicle collisions have been revised, although they still have room for improvement. The bug that left the NPCs with a low LOD has been fixed. I have also not seen floating NPCs or extremely weird behaviour in the AI while recording. Shadows still do not have an equivalent improvement on PlayStation 5 to the Xbox Series and Xbox One X version. I have not suffered any crashes during the recording. Some options and settings had to be restored because the file has been corrupted. This has not affected the save data.”
The Xbox iterations saw some different changes: „The average resolution has increased, but remains within the already established dynamic resolution. Pop-in has been reduced on OneX and Series S|X. On Xbox One, it has increased. Performance is somewhat more unstable on all platforms. I have noticed some improvement in gunplay. You can see that now the headshots are simpler. The density of pedestrians has not changed. The shadows maintain their quality. Xbox One is affected by a lower LOD in the NPCs. Vehicle collisions have been revised, although they still have room for improvement. I have not suffered any crashes during the recording.”
So the game is improving, but there’s still room for improvement…
