And Tesla might create the franchise’s Warthog as a real-life Cybertruck variant…
Microsoft‘s job listings recently got a new one for a producer. „343 Industries is looking for a Producer to help develop a new project in the Halo universe. This is your chance to work on one of the most exciting and creative intellectual properties in the industry with one of the industry’s most talented teams. As a Producer, you are core to the culture and productivity of the team. The ideal candidate will be able to balance schedule needs with creative pursuits, pushing for quality and innovation while managing both budget and time; and lead a team of industry veterans to create innovative new experiences.
Executing on our project’s vision takes many traits, but above all stand teamwork, leadership and a dedication to excellence. Coordinating the efforts of a large project team is a big responsibility; the Producer needs to be both focused and agile in navigating the complexities of the development cycle,” the job listing says. So it might be the next game after Halo Infinite, which will launch this autumn on Xbox Series, Xbox One, and PC. After the game’s launch, the team won’t need 100% of its workforce to keep it up-to-date.
Also, Tesla’s head, Elon Musk, was recently asked on Twitter what his favourite game is on console and/or PC. He replied saying „Only Halo.” And Microsoft’s leaders quickly got wind of the tweet. Aaron Greenberg, the general marketing manager of Xbox, said „Sure feels like a Tesla x Halo collab needs to happen at some point!? To be clear, this would be a dream collab for me and many fans I know. So if you like the idea, speak up and maybe something in the future could happen, who knows!?”
Let’s not forget that the Warthog was the key inspiration behind Tesla’s Cybertruck, and in 2007, WETA has created a fully drivable Warthog for a planned Halo film that never ended up being created.
We wouldn’t be surprised if Musk made a Tesla Warthog purely over his appreciation of Halo!
