Blasphemous Deluxe Edition Is Getting A Physical Release

Sold Out has teamed up with Team17 and The Game Kitchen to provide us with a physical version of Blasphemous Deluxe Edition.

This is an action-platformer that was released on September 10 2019 on PlayStation 4, Xbox One, Nintendo Switch, PC, Mac, and Linux, but it first popped up as a Kickstarter campaign in 2017 that was a success, as the game was indeed developed and completed, thanks to the crowdfunding efforts. The Metroidvania game is getting a physical release nearly two years after its launch, as it will hit the shelves on June 29, but only on consoles, meaning the PlayStation 4, the Xbox One, and the Nintendo Switch will receive it.

Thankfully, Blasphemous Deluxe Edition is not doing the blasphemous move of skipping the game itself from the package that several AAA publishers have done in recent years. The game, which will be on a Blu-ray disc or a cartridge (as we don’t see ourselves stuffing a disc into the Nintendo Switch, even if its rumoured Super/Pro model is happening, as it won’t change the cartridge format), will be accompanied by a 32-track digital soundtrack, a 195-page digital art book, a digital comic, the Alloy of Sin and Golden Burden in-game character skins, a sticker sheet, and a 180 x 290mm poster of Cvstodia (where the game is set).

„We’re thrilled to team up with Team17 once again to deliver this deluxe Blasphemous physical edition. Whether you’re already a fan of the game or want to jump into the nightmare world of Cvstodia for the first time, Blasphemous Deluxe Edition offers an exciting physical package for players to add to their collection,” said Katie Clark, senior product manager at Sold Out.

Blasphemous Deluxe Edition is available to pre-order globally at retailers now. It will launch on June 29 on PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and Nintendo Switch.
