Life Is Strange: True Colors: Alex’ Opening Scene [VIDEO]

Square Enix and Deck Nine Games have published a short video of the new Life is Strange.

The video doesn’t contain any heavy action scenes, as in it, all we see is Alex Chen, the protagonist of the game, talk with her social worker, who seems to be in on what Alex is capable of (as there is no Life is Strange without supernatural powers, except for Before the Storm, where Chloe’s backtalking doesn’t count as such). Not a lot is revealed in this short video, but at least we can see that the facial animations have seen a significant improvement.

Here’s the game’s overview: „Alex Chen must embrace her volatile psychic power of Empathy to uncover the truth about her brother’s death.  A bold new era of the award-winning Life is Strange begins, with an all-new playable lead character and a thrilling mystery to solve! Alex Chen has long suppressed her “curse”: the supernatural ability to experience, absorb and manipulate the strong emotions of others, which she sees as blazing, coloured auras. When her brother dies in a so-called accident, Alex must embrace her volatile power to find the truth—and uncover the dark secrets buried by a small town.
