PlayStation Plus: What Games Can We Expect In June?

May came, saw, and left (and in our region, it brought some autumn-like weather, good riddance to that), so we have to ask once again: what games are Sony preparing to provide to its roughly 48 million PlayStation Plus subscribers as a reward for their subscription?

The PlayStation Plus situation is somewhat funny this month, as the other day, we talked about three possible games that could be the three titles in June for those who spend a reasonable amount of cash to have access to all PlayStation 4 and PlayStation 5 games’ online multiplayer.

According to the rumour, the PlayStation 5 is going to get a new game called Operation: Tango, where a spy and a hacker have to work together, with only voice communication is the link between the two players (because yes, cooperative gaming is the keyword here). The PlayStation 4 is said to receive Star Wars: Squadrons, as well as Virtua Fighter 5: Ultimate Showdown. The latter game hasn’t launched yet. So, did Sony manage to change the leaked plans in the last second, or will we indeed get these titles next week to start the summer?

We’ll answer this with one word: yes. Yes, these three games are the June PlayStation Plus titles, so the leak was correct, and two of the three will be available from June 1 to July 5. (We’ll get to the exception in a moment.) Operation: Tango’s PlayStation 5 version is free, but not the PlayStation 4 port. Regarding Virtua Fighter 5: Ultimate Showdown, we already discussed this game in detail today, but the new thing is that it will be free until August 2. (So it’s going to be a freebie in August… let’s hope that it won’t take a space from another game, but knowing Sony, it will…)

You still have a few more days to download the May trio of games: on PlayStation 5, you can find Wreckfest: Drive Hard, Die Last (which is an exclusive for this month on the platform), and on PlayStation 4, you can pick up Battlefield V and Stranded Deep.

Still, she likes puzzle and story-oriented games, like Sherlock Holmes: Crimes & Punishments, which is her favourite title.
