RoboCop: Rogue City: Robocop is coming back [VIDEO]

After Rambo: The Video Game and Terminator: Resistance, Teyon is developing a new project, which will be published by Nacon.

The publisher (which ran under the name Bigben Interactive for a while) announced this game during Nacon Connect, and this announcement felt like the biggest surprise of them all: Robocop is getting a brand new game, which we will not see even during 2022 (and because of it, RoboCop: Rogue City got nothing more than a CGI trailer…).

Here is an overview of the game, via its Steam page: „Become the iconic part man, part machine, all cop hero as you attempt to bring justice to the dangerous, crime-ridden streets of Old Detroit. Armed with your trusty Auto-9, factory-built strength, years of experience on the force and a variety of tools at your disposal, you will fight forces seeking to destroy the city you call home in an all-new first-person, explosive hunt for the truth.

You have the power to decide how to fulfil prime directives in your way, but as the story unfolds proceed with caution because corruption and greed know no limits,” the page says. Too bad we cannot grasp most of this description, as the computer graphic trailer doesn’t show much of what was written on Valve’s storefront.

Teyon is developing RoboCop: Rogue City for PC, but the company did not name which consoles will be the target platforms. However, if Terminator: Resistance was made for PlayStation 4 and Xbox One (with a recent PlayStation 5 version, too), we suspect that Alex Murphy will also aim for both the PlayStation 5 and the Xbox Series.

The last Robocop game was made by Titus in 2003 for PlayStation 2, Xbox, and PC (and there was a Japan-only Nintendo GameCube port as well). It was terrible, and we hope the next game will be much better than that.
