Let’s explain in detail what we mean by Life is Strange getting two delays.
The first one is for Life is Strange: True Colors, but only on one platform: “Life is Strange: True Colors for Nintendo Switch is running a little late. We won’t be quite ready to release on September 10—but we still plan to release this year. Please watch our channels for a confirmed date over the coming weeks!” the official Life is Strange Twitter account said. Notice that they only mentioned the Nintendo Switch port, not the other versions.
But there’s a more significant delay: Square Enix and Deck Nine Games (who also work on Life is Strange: True Colors) announced on Twitter that Life is Strange Remastered Collection joins the humongous list of games that got delayed from 2021 to 2022. Here’s their announcement: “Hello, Life is Strange fans! We have some important updates for you on our upcoming release dates. After Life is Strange: True Colors releases on September 10, we’re happy to announce that the Life is Strange: Wavelengths downloadable content, starring Steph Gingrich, will release on September 30.
[…] However, due to the ongoing challenges of the worldwide pandemic, we want to alleviate any additional pressure on the Life is Strange team by giving more time between the release of Life is Strange: True Colors and the Life is Strange Remastered Collection. For this reason, we have made the difficult decision to delay the release of the Life is Strange: Remastered Collection for all platforms—PC, PlayStation, Xbox, Stadia, and Switch—until early 2022. We hope you understand. Thank you for your patience and overwhelming support […],” the announcement said.
Life is Strange: True Colors will launch on September 10 on PlayStation 5, Xbox Series, PC (Steam), PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and Google Stadia, with the Nintendo Switch version arriving later this year. Life is Strange Remastered Collection will follow in 2022 on PlayStation 4, Xbox One, Nintendo Switch, and PC.
