The pilot episode of HBO’s The Last of Us is ready!

The Last of Us series will consist of 10 episodes in total, have multiple directors, and be shot on a hefty budget. Sounds very promising!

The Last of Us TV premiere is a little closer again. Although there’s still a long way to go, it looks like Naughty Dog and the HBO crew have already finished filming the first episode. We came to this conclusion from an Instagram post by Kantemir Balagov, who is responsible for meeting expectations with the pilot episode. He hints that the work is already done.

The series, as we said, will have several directors over the ten chapters, so there’s still a lot of work to be done before the day comes when we can sit down in front of the TV to enjoy it. It’s estimated that it will premiere in 2022, but there’s no exact date yet.

We know that HBO The Last of Us is a very ambitious project on the part of those responsible, with a first season budget of over $100 million and one of the main characters, Pedro Pascal, earning nearly $6 million per episode. As the weeks go by, we will learn even more exciting things about the series.

So far, we have only seen a few shots of the cast on set and some pictures from the production filming in Canada.
