Here are the best games for October: action, sports and Age of Empires

We take a look at October’s top game releases, with the new Far Cry, FIFA and Metroid. We’ll be packed with great titles!

We’ve put a September full of great video games behind us. We are gearing up for another four weeks of heart-pounding action, with highly anticipated releases such as Far Cry 6, Metroid Dread and Marvel’s Guardians of the Galaxy, to name just a few of the most spectacular. But as you can see below, there are plenty of other video games to keep an eye out for.

As we do every month, we’ll be showcasing the standout games, a month that Nintendo has chosen to release a new version of its hybrid console, the Nintendo Switch OLED. Fans of cooperative action will also be reunited with the creators of Left 4 Dead and the promising Back 4 Blood, not forgetting another long-awaited return, Age of Empires IV.

Age Of Empires 4 Stress Test

If horror is your thing, you’ll be interested in The Dark Pictures Anthology: House of Ashes, the new release from the authors of Until Dawn, or the Oculus VR adaptation of the fantastic Resident Evil 4. October will also see the remastering of Alan Wake and Ubisoft‘s insane Riders Republic. As you can see, there’s a lot of games out there, and they’re very diverse.
