MOVIE NEWS – James Gunn’s Suicide Squad spin-off series, Peace Fighter (John Cena), will arrive in early 2022, and we’ve just got an exclusive sneak peek at the virtual event for the European launch of HBO MAX.

MAX Originals’ in-house-produced content gives us a closer look at the character of Christopher Smith aka the Peace Fighter (played brilliantly funny by John Cena) in this 8-part series, rich in both action and humour, written and directed by James Gunn. The series also stars Danielle Brooks (Orange Is the New Black, The Color Purple) Robert Patrick (Terminator 2: Judgment Day; Perry Mason) Jennifer Holland (Brightburn – The Flaming Boy, American Horror Story), Chris Conrad (Perpetual Grace, LTD. Patriot) and Steve Agee. Gunn and The Suicide Squad executive produce, Peter Safran is executive producing the series and Cena is co-producing. Peacemaker is based on DC characters and produced by Gunn’s Troll Court Entertainment and The Safran Company for Warner Bros. Television in association with Warner Bros.

The Peacemaker will arrive on HBO MAX in 2022.
