The King Of Fighters XV: SNK’s Fighting Game Gears Up For An Open Beta [VIDEO]

The King Of Fighters XV: The PlayStation players can celebrate: SNK considered both the PlayStation 5 and the PlayStation 4 regarding its upcoming open beta.

Due to the State of Play, SNK announced on the PlayStation 4 that there will be a PlayStation 5 and PlayStation 4 open beta test for The King of Fighters XV from November 19 at 7:00 p.m. PT to November 22 at 6:59 a.m. PT (you can see the European and Japanese times below on one of the images).

This open beta test will support cross-generation play, and there will be several playable modes (online: Casual Match, Room Match; offline: Versus; also Training). The following characters have been confirmed to be playable: Chizuru Kagura, Chris, Dolores (a newcomer; she got a trailer that you can see below), Iori Yagami, Kyo Kusanagi, Shermie, Shun’ei, and Yashiro Nanakase. This roster isn’t the complete one, but we can understand that SNK wants to keep a few surprises at hand.

“Our newest character is quite mysterious, as she’s a medium who can speak to the earth and control holy soil. Also, she’s joined arms with general Heidern and another new character, Isla. Some may have noticed the details on her clothing are similar to the embroidery found on another character, and so along with that info and the fact that she’s paired up with such a strange team means this story is something you won’t want to miss! Get ready for some awesome fights with the cool and collected mysterious Dolores,” said chief producer Yasuyuki Oda on the PlayStation Blog.

It’s been a while since The King of Fighters XIV launched (PlayStation 4: August 2016, PC and arcades: June 2017), so seeing The King of Fighters XV getting close to hitting the shelves is reasonable. The game will be available from February 17 on PlayStation 5, Xbox Series, PC (Steam, Epic Games Store, Microsoft Store), and PlayStation 4. We did not skip the Xbox One: there will be no X1 port!
