The game will take place in the Marvel universe and develop a deep narrative with doses of action and adventure.

Perhaps you do not know the journey made by Amy Hennig. Still, this screenwriter has stood out in the video game world for her work as a creative director in franchises such as Uncharted or Jak and Daxter, which complements her incorporation in Forspoken. However, the winds led her to go through Visceral Games and later found Skydance New Media’s development studio. Together with EA veteran Julian Beak, a company has taken its first step in creating its next game: a collaboration with Marvel itself.

The studio has announced this through its website, where they also detail some aspects of their first title as Skydance New Media. A AAA project will develop a deep narrative within the Marvel universe accompanied by doses of action and adventure. An initiative that aims to follow the lines of the study in terms of interactive entertainment, as it seeks to create “an innovative convergence of games, movies and television.”

In the statement shared by the studio, both Skydance New Media and Marvel express their excitement for the announced collaboration, as Hennig considers that “it is an honour to be able to tell an original story with all the humanity, complexity and humour that they make to the characters. enduring Marvel features and allowing our players to embody the heroes they love. ”

For its part, Marvel praises Hennig’s talents and celebrates the partnership: “Amy has been setting the bar high in storytelling adventure games for decades, and we are excited to be collaborating with the expertise and talent of the New Media team at Skydance.” Something that they accompany ensures that “we are excited to share more with Marvel fans at the right time .”

Skydance New Media has an experienced AAA gaming staff and creative consultants with knowledge of the world of film, television and comics. Therefore, it remains to be seen what the result of this collaboration is, which at the moment seems to be oriented towards a large-scale project.

This is not, by any means, Marvel’s first step in the video game sector, since recently it has given us together with Eidos Montreal Marvel’s Guardians of the Galaxy that, with a much smaller size, has captivated us based on trailers from the eighties.
