Wolfenstein Developpers’ Indiana Jones Will Have A Brand New Original Story

Bethesda’s Indiana Jones project will build on long-held ideas Todd Howard had.

Bethesda’s has a very leading role among the many projects that Microsoft spearheads for PC and consoles. After finding out last year that they had been bought, we had to wait only a few months to discover what new projects they had in hand. One of what generates the most expectation? The new Indiana Jones game.

The development is being carried out by MachineGames, responsible for the last instalments of the Wolfenstein saga, but it is being produced directly by Todd Howard. The Bethesda executive producer has talked about many things in a recent talk with IGN. One of them has to do with this Indiana Jones project, about which he has assured that he has an unpublished, original story that he had already planned for a decade.

“I had this original story, and we’ve worked on it together.”

“They are making the game, and I am creatively involved,” he says. “I had this original story, and we have worked on it together. I’m spending time on this story, but they are executing it and doing an incredible job. I’m happy to be able to lend a hand and participate.”

Howard has also detailed the specific role of a video game producer since he is a figure whose work we do not usually have in mind. “When I act as an executive producer in a game, I review it regularly,” he says. “It is not a daily thing, and I can do it once a week or once a month, depending on its status.”

We still do not have a specific release date for the new Indiana Jones or an approximate period to wait for it. It is in an early phase of its development, although we will always have to be attentive to new details and clues that may leave us since, on some occasions, we had references to the game before our very eyes, and we did not realize it.
