[TGA] Alan Wake 2: A Sequel To The Horror Classic In The Making, Here’s The First Trailer [VIDEO]

Alan Wake 2 was unveiled at The Game Awards, and for now, we know it will be released for PC, PS5 and Xbox Series X and S.

Alan Wake fans have been longing for the return of the beloved mystical action-adventure-horror for years, and yesterday at The Game Awards 2021, Remedy Entertainment fulfilled that long-held dream: Alan Wake 2 is a reality! What’s more, we’ve already got a first, brief teaser, accompanied by provisory release date: 2023.

To celebrate the news, the veteran writer of this and other great action games such as Max Payne and Control, Sam Lake, has also made an appearance, recalling that it’s been nearly ten years since the original game was released – which just this year got a facelift with Alan Wake Remastered.

What’s new?

The game will focus more on the horror elements, but no further details were given.

Alan Wake 2 has been unveiled with a short cinematic trailer, ending with a portrait of the adventure’s protagonist. I know everyone is looking forward to trying out the sequel to the classic, but we’ll have to be patient a little longer. Sam Lake has confirmed that while we’ll have plenty more news in 2022, the Remedy team will be hard at work over the coming months to bring the highly anticipated project to PC, Xbox X|S and PlayStation 5 in 2023.

The Finnish studio is also working on a solo campaign for Crossfire X, which was confirmed a few weeks ago to be nearing completion.
