Bioshock & Dishonored Developers, Former Obsidian Staff Working On New South Park Game?!

A job posting has revealed the studio behind the new video game for the hooligan animated series South Park.

We learned last year that the deal to expand the South Park universe would include a new video game for the hit animated series. The veteran and controversial series has been on the air for nearly 25 years, with games made from the first PlayStation and Nintendo 64 generations right up to the present day.

Little information was available about the new project beyond the fact that it will use 3D animation, abandoning the distinctive style that Obsidian Entertainment started with South Park: The Stick of Truth. This time the information came in the form of a job posting from Question Games, reported by Eurogamer.

The job advertisement requires experience in multiplayer game development

The studio is reportedly looking for a path designer for “a new video game set in the world of South Park.” While we can’t confirm whether the game in development is the same South Park title we heard about months ago, the studio behind it, Question Games, counts among its members previous developers of triple-A games such as Thief: Deadly Shadows, the Bioshock trilogy, Dishonored and the last two titles in the Ubisoft franchise.

The vacancy is for game development on Unreal Engine 4, and the requirements include experience in multiplayer game development. Familiarity with development on PC and current desktop consoles – Xbox One, Xbox Series X/S, PS4 and PS5 – is also an advantage. Question Games is a California-based development studio and the creators of the cooperative horror adventure The Blackout Club.
