Gran Turismo 7: New Game Modes, Graphics & Features From The Latest Gameplay Trailer [VIDEO]

Polyphony Digital’s new Gran Turismo game will offer more than 400 cars and nearly 100 tracks across 34 locations.

The latest State of Play was all about Gran Turismo 7, where we finally got to see in detail all the new features and improvements that will be included in the highly anticipated racing game for PlayStation 5 and PS4. And the motto, which seems to have guided the Polyphony Digital team, was to revive the classic atmosphere of the series, making it the reference game for car lovers.

GT7 includes a mode designed to drive for the pleasure of driving

The PlayStation event, which lasted over three-quarters of an hour, allowed us to discover the different game modes that make up the Gran Turismo 7 single-player experience, as well as exciting features such as the Gran Turismo Café, a place where we will be able to visit regularly to learn about all the details and curiosities of each car, while also meeting the designers of the same vehicles.

“Our aim is to create a simulation that everyone can enjoy, whether they are hardcore Gran Turismo fans or newcomers,” said Kazunori Yamauchi at the launch. “We want even those who have never experienced the car culture to have fun here.” The State of Play also revealed that 34 locations, 97 tracks, and more than 400 cars were added.

GT7 will have more customisation options to personalise the cars to your liking, as well as different configurations to tailor the racing to your preferred style. The new Gran Turismo series shares much of the spirit of the well-remembered GT 4, with a vast range of different driving modes, and even introduces game modes that are simply about driving for the sake of driving.

As you play, you’ll win races and complete special missions based on ideas such as beating your opponent in a race, unlocking new cosmetics and accessories to personalise your car (both aesthetically and performance-wise), while there’s also more and more opportunity to delve deeper into the world of motorsport with a complete museum full of photos of cars, 3D models and curiosities.

The weather will also play a more significant role in the races, changing in real-time during the races, which will obviously have an impact on the way the cars are driven. If you love cars in general, as well as driving, the new photo mode will allow you to take the best shots with the most spectacular finish possible.
