Evil Dead: The Game: Pre-Orders Are Open, Collector’s Editions Confirmed [VIDEO]

Boss Team Games’ Evil Dead: The Game game will attack with a hefty collector’s edition, as per the license, to make up for the postponement…

Evil Dead: The Game will be available digitally in two versions. The basic version will be $40, but there will also be a $60 deluxe edition. In both cases, pre-orderers will receive two new costumes for Ash Williams (S-Mart Employee and Gallant Knight). The Deluxe Edition will include the first season pass in addition to the base game (yes, they’re already openly saying there will be more: is that how much Boss Team Games and Saber Interactive trust the game…?).

Then there’s a collector’s edition for $125 if you’re not thinking of a digital version and would instead put it on the shelf… This version includes the base game, Season Pass 1, an Evil Dead steel case, Evil Dead: The Game soundtrack on coloured vinyl, a t-shirt (choice of size), an art card set, The Art of Evil Dead deluxe hardcover book, the Savini Variant in-game Ash skin, and a collectable outer box. The $200 Ultimate collector’s edition also comes with similar stuff (base game, season pass 1, steelbook, vinyl soundtrack, t-shirt, card pack, art book, box, skin), but also includes a full-size Evil Dead 2 Necronomicon replica. It’s probably worth the money, though it’s a matter of taste…

Evil Dead: The Game was recently postponed (we wrote about it when it was pushed back to a later date), but it won’t be pushed back on the calendar again because that would look incredibly stupid, especially as pre-orders are already running. The new release date for the franchise is Friday the thirteenth, in May. It will be released for PlayStation 5, Xbox Series, PC, PlayStation 4, Xbox One and Nintendo Switch.
