BioWare has concluded its latest Dragon Age blog with a little update on the upcoming Mass Effect.
BioWare has revealed quite a lot of news about the upcoming Dragon Age game in the latest post on the company’s blog, but the studio hasn’t completely ignored those who are waiting for information about the next Mass Effect. Unfortunately, it looks like we’ll have to wait a long time for a new title in the legendary series, as the company confirmed that the team in charge is still brainstorming ideas for the project.
“Our Number One priority needs to be quality” – Gary McKay
“AAA next-gen games take a long time to make,” shared BioWare’s Gary McKay. “We know our fans may want them sooner. But our Number One priority needs to be quality, and that simply takes time to get it right.”
Not very uplifting news, however, it is in line with what the company has recently stipulated, as the studio has mentioned that it wants to regain its reputation and regain the trust of the community, with “quality games” being one of the primary missions to achieve that goal.
For now, very little is known about the upcoming Mass Effect, as apart from theories circulating on the internet, we only have the announcement trailer and an image that the studio has unveiled. What we do know, however, is that the game will abandon the Frostbite engine – used in ME: Andromeda – in favour of the Unreal Engine.
