Fast and Furious 10: Momoa would like to flaunt it

Jason Momoa can’t wait to play the bad guy in Fast & Furious 10, the last part of the movie series.

Vin Diesel will take on Jason Momoa in Fast and Furious 10. After it was previously reported that Momoa had joined the Fast family with his casting in Fast 10, the actor spoke about his role in a new interview with Entertainment Tonight. While Momoa can’t reveal anything specific about the character he’s playing, he does confirm that he will be the film’s villain, and the Aquaman star couldn’t be more excited to play the antagonist.

“It’s fun, I get to play the bad guy, which I haven’t gotten to do for a while. Now, I get to be the bad boy. A very flamboyant bad boy. A little panache!”

We’ve seen Momoa play villainous characters in the past, with Game of Thrones’ Khal Drogo standing out as an example. Since then, he’s become more synonymous with heroism and righteousness as the star of the Aquaman films, making him synonymous with the DC superhero. Fast 10 will give him a chance to delve back into his dark side in a big-budget film, and given Momoa’s tease that he’ll be playing a “flamboyant” villain, it seems like this role should be exciting.

The tenth Fast movie will also bring back Charlize Theron to play the main villain, Cipher, meaning Momoa’s character may end up working with her in some way against the main characters. John Cena’s character did the same before switching sides to join his brother in F9, and Cena has expressed interest in returning for the final films. Of course, Vin Diesel will return for the film, as will main actors Michelle Rodriguez, Jordana Brewster, Chris ‘Ludacris’ Bridges, Tyrese Gibson and Sung Kang.

We’ve seen this franchise take many different directions throughout the series, but it has to come to an end at some point. It has been announced that there will be two more films to close out the Fast & Furious story and to go out with a bang, Vin Diesel has been bringing in some big names, hence the recent casting of Momoa. He also expected Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson to return for the finale, though Johnson made it clear he would not.

“I told [Diesel] directly that I would not be returning to the franchise,” The Rock explained on CNN, rejecting a public request from Diesel to return. “I was firm but cordial with my words and said that I would always support him. of the cast and always support for the franchise to be successful, but that there was no chance of him coming back. Vin’s recent public post was an example of his manipulation. I didn’t like that he mentioned his kids in the post, as well as the death of Paul Walker. Leave them out of it. We had talked months ago about this and came to a clear understanding.”

He added: “My goal all along was to end my incredible journey with this incredible franchise with gratitude and grace. It is unfortunate that this public dialogue has muddied the waters. Regardless, I have confidence in the Fast universe and its ability to consistently deliver for the audience… I truly wish my former co-stars and crew members the best of luck and success in the next chapter.”

As of now, Fast & Furious 10 is scheduled for release on May 19, 2023.
