Zelda: Breath Of The Wild 2 Slides To 2023 To Deliver A “Completely Unique Experience” [VIDEO]

The upcoming Nintendo Switch-exclusive Zelda adventure was scheduled for release in 2022; we’ll have to wait longer.

We entered 2022 with great excitement: The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild 2 has captured the interest – and enthusiasm – of many. Unfortunately, although Nintendo has repeatedly reiterated that the release date is still 2022, it looks like we’ll have to wait to enjoy the next adventure in the series.

This information comes from Eiji Aonuma himself, producer of The Legend of Zelda franchise and iconic figure of the saga.

Through a video, which you can watch below the news, he publicly apologizes to the community and has set the release of The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild 2 for Spring 2023.

In the statement, Aonuma didn’t explain the reasoning behind the decision, saying only that the development time would be extended to create a “completely unique experience.” He then goes on to recap some of the title’s essential features, such as exploring the terrain in the sky, as well as brand new combat and gameplay mechanics, among other additions.

So without further comment from Aonuma, we’ll have to wait for the iconic character to reveal his unforgettable adventure sometime next year. With a bit of malice, it is worth noting that it is slowly becoming a ‘completely unique experience’ when a game can exceptionally keep to its release date. In the meantime, we can continue to ponder the innovative mechanics that Nintendo has built into the game, some of which have already been detailed with new patents and the official name, which we have no idea of at the moment.
