Is There A New Movie In The Works Starring Uma Thurman & Samuel L. Jackson Of Pulp Fiction Fame?

MOVIE NEWS – Pulp Fiction and Kill Bill stars Uma Thurman, and Samuel L. Jackson are reuniting for the dark comedy-thriller The Kill Room.

Uma Thurman and Samuel L. Jackson have joined the cast of The Kill Room, a “darkly comic” thriller about a hitman who inadvertently becomes an art-world sensation. The pair previously co-starred in Pulp Fiction (although they did not appear in any scenes together) and Kill Bill: Volume 2 – both directed by Quentin Tarantino, of course.

Nicol Paone (Funny or Die, Friendsgiving) will direct The Kill Room from an original script by Jonathan Jacobson. The film will be shot in New Jersey and New York. Its synopsis (via THR) reads, “The story follows a hitman, his boss (Jackson), an art dealer (Thurman), and a money-laundering scheme that accidentally turns the assassin into an overnight avant-garde sensation, one that forces her to play the art world against the underworld.” The lead role – the assassin mentioned above – has not yet been cast.

The Kill Room will be produced by Jordan Yale Levine, Jordan Beckerman and Jon Keeyes through their company Yale Productions. The producers have released the following statement:

“The combination of Uma and Sam for this project is a dream come true.”

“We are certain that Nicol is going to deliver a special film, and one that strikes the perfect balance between dark humor and edge-of-your-seat thrills.”

Director Nicol Paone also praised the script for The Kill Room and was excited to be working with Hollywood megastars, Uma Thurman and Samuel L. Jackson. “Getting to make The Kill Room – an already incredible script – with Uma Thurman and Samuel L. Jackson is beyond my wildest dreams. Every moment they’re onscreen, they are both enviable and eye-catching. I am eternally grateful to both of them for saying yes, and I am thrilled to bring this to life alongside Anne Clements and Yale Productions.”

The Kill Room does not yet have a release date, but filming will begin soon and could be in cinemas as early as 2023. Uma Thurman and Samuel L. Jackson will be working together again after two decades, and fans are expected to have high hopes for The Kill Room. Hopefully, they will have more scenes together than in Kill Bill.

The Will Smith slap in the face scandal seemed to overshadow any positive developments at the 94th Oscars, but if it hadn’t happened, the most talked-about moment would have been the reunion of Samuel L. Jackson, Uma Thurman and John Travolta in Pulp Fiction. In a brief scene just before Will Smith’s big win, the trio reunited on stage to celebrate the 28th anniversary of Pulp Fiction, Jackson holding the mysterious briefcase as Thurman and Travolta re-enacted the iconic dance scene.
