Fresh PS Plus Games Debuted Yesterday – With A Brand New Title And A Surprise!

PS Plus Extra and Premium tiers yesterday saw the addition of 18 games, including a surprise PSP title and a brand new release.

Sony added another 18 games to PS Plus Extra and Premium in July, and that number rises to 20 when you consider that one of the newly added games is technically three games in one bundle – and there’s even a title that will be available on PlayStation from the day of its official launch!

The 19 July update adds five Assassin’s Creed games to the PS Plus Extra bundle – Assassin’s Creed: The Ezio Collection, Assassin’s Creed 4: Black Flag, Assassin’s Creed Freedom Cry, Assassin’s Creed Rogue Remastered and Assassin’s Creed Unity. The Assassin’s Creed: The Ezio Collection includes three AC titles, giving PS Plus subscribers access to Assassin’s Creed 2, Assassin’s Creed Brotherhood and Assassin’s Creed Revelations.

New PS Plus games for July 2022 include a surprise game that Sony hasn’t announced in advance, although this is only relevant for those who have signed up for the most expensive tier, PS Plus Premium. PlayStation Plus Premium subscribers will have access to retro games from the PS1, PS2, PS3 and PSP libraries, and subscribers will be able to try three new PSP games in the July 2022 update. LocoRoco: Midnight Carnival and No Heroes Allowed were previously announced, but the addition of Echoshift came as a surprise.

And finally, it’s worth highlighting that new PS Plus Extra and Premium games for July 2022 include a brand new Day One release. The cat game Stray is already available for subscribers to try, and with the game receiving primarily positive reviews from critics, the new PlayStation Plus levels are off to an excellent start.
