Do Cats Really Love Stray? We Tested It, Here’s The Result!

BlueTwelve Studio’s Stray was released on 19 July and has already captured the attention of gamers and pets alike.

If you follow our site regularly, you’re probably aware of the release of Stray, which arrived the day before yesterday for PC, PS4 and PS5. The cat-centric cyberpunk title is already breaking records for Annapurna Interactive, which is a testament to the community’s fascination with cats.

Our cats seem more than happy to have their owners play this adventure, as many of them are having a great time in front of the screen.

That’s why within hours, Twitter was flooded with footage of the cats trying to interact with the protagonist of Stray. Our Spanish friends over at 3DJuegos have put together a small collection of some of the most adorable and hilarious videos, and we couldn’t resist sharing some of them.

However, as some of you may know, we here at theGeek love cats: we were so impressed by the game that yesterday we even posted a compilation of the ginger cats that appear in the movies!

Well, our most ardent cat lovers, BadSector and Anikó, decided to test how their pets react to some Stray fun. As the two pictures below show, the effect was not lost: the kittens spent a long time trying to communicate with their on-screen companion… 🙂
