PlayStation VR2: Sony’s New VR-Wonder Might Be Coming Soon?!

TECH NEWS – The Japanese company is apparently planning to launch its new VR headset, PlayStation VR2, early next year.

Surprisingly, PlayStation recently announced on its Instagram profile that PlayStation VR2, the next generation of its virtual reality device, will launch in early 2023. The information was not shared by the French division’s Twitter feed nor by other sources at the Japanese hardware manufacturer, which have not yet provided further details.

Gamescom 2022 Opening Night Live starts at 8 pm tonight (CET), so Geoff Keighley and his team may be expecting one of the big announcements of the night from the multinational, although PlayStation indicated a few weeks ago that it would not be attending the show.

The first details of PlayStation VR2 are confirmed for early 2021. Since then, although there hasn’t been a launch event as such, new information about the device and some of its games has been regularly revealed.

In light of this, we’ll likely see a new video in the coming hours, starring the titles that will accompany PSVR2 at launch early next year, although again, it’s important to stress that nothing is official. However, we’ve known for a few weeks that PlayStation VR2 will include helpful features such as the ability to see what’s around you without taking off your glasses.

Several games have already been confirmed for PlayStation VR2.

We only have a few hours to wait to find out more about Sony’s new virtual reality device. It’ll definitely be worth keeping an eye on the Gamescom 2022 schedule and Opening Night Live to keep up to date with the latest news.
