Wanted: Dead Has Slipped To 2023! [VIDEO]

Soleil’s game (to be published by 110 Industries) has been given a slightly funny release date after they could not keep Wanted: Dead in this year’s previously planned fourth quarter (October-December).

However, Soleil and 110 Industries have announced that the Tencent-affiliated game now has a specific release date: they have moved the launch date to February 14, 2023. In June, we described the game: “Wanted: Dead is a new hybrid slasher/shooter from the makers of Ninja Gaiden and Dead or Alive. The game follows a week in the life of the Zombie Unit, an elite Hong Kong police squad on a mission to uncover a significant corporate conspiracy. Play as Lt. Hannah Stone, a hardboiled Hong Kong cop, and plough through mercenaries, gang members and private military contractors in a spectacular cyberpunk adventure.

Hack-and-slash melee combat: use a wide variety of deadly moves and dozens of over 80 unique finishers to slice and dice. Third-person shooter: battle indoors and outdoors using a curated selection of projectile weapons—assault rifles, SMGs, LMGs and grenade launchers. Cyberpunk: a crazy mix of advanced weaponry and low-tech 90s retro-futurism in a dystopian version of Hong Kong.

A truly hardcore experience: the fights will not be easy. Steel your resolve and use everything around you as you battle through hordes of mercenaries, synthetics and private security forces. Beat them up the old-school way: Take down enemies to proceed further, revive the nostalgia in a modern twist on the established genre. An AAA love letter to the sixth generation of consoles. (SEGA Dreamcast, Sony PlayStation 2, Microsoft Xbox, Nintendo GameCube…)”

So Wanted: Dead is coming to PlayStation 5, Xbox Series, PC (Steam), PlayStation 4 and Xbox One on February 14. The game is one of those that were announced for the new consoles at first, only to become cross-gen later.
