Another PlayStation-Exclusive Game Might Arrive Soon To PC?!

Evidence continues to mount that another PlayStation-exclusive game will be making the jump to PC sometime shortly.

PlayStation-exclusive Sackboy: A Big Adventure is set to arrive on PC soon. The game was first released for PS4 and PS5 in November 2020 as a PS5 launch title. It didn’t receive the same critical acclaim as the main games in the LittleBigPlanet series but was still praised as a fun co-operative platformer. Now it looks like more players will be able to get a taste of it, as evidence is mounting that Sackboy: A Big Adventure will be coming to PC.

Gamers first learned about a possible Sackboy PC port last year when it was leaked on SteamDB.

Then this summer, more evidence of a PC port of Sackboy leaked online. The latest update added fuel to the fire, as SteamDB updated the Sackboy icon and added achievements. Needless to say, this is pretty concrete evidence that the once PlayStation-exclusive game is coming to PC, and it looks like the port could be here relatively soon.

PlayStation has been making a serious effort to bring its exclusive games to PC in recent years, long after they were released on PS consoles, of course. Most recently, Insomniac Games’ PlayStation-exclusive Spider-Man Remastered came to PC, and the next PC port is Uncharted: Legacy of Thieves Collection, which will be released on PC on 19 October.

There’s no firm release date for the PC port of Sackboy, but with Uncharted arriving in October, you’d think Sackboy would come sometime after that.

Sony may release a PC port of Sackboy before the end of the year, but it’s also possible that PC gamers will have to wait until next year for the game. A potential PC port hasn’t even been announced at the time of writing, so PC platformer fans should keep that in mind before getting too excited.

November will mark two years since Sackboy: The Big Adventure was released, so it seems like an excellent time for a PC port, but it’s still too early to hold your breath. For now, anyone interested in the game will have to give the PS4 or PS5 version a try.
