Assassin’s Creed: Valhalla: The Final Update Is On Its Way

Ubisoft’s game won’t get a New Game+ mode (which has become commonplace in many action-adventure AAA games).

Assassin’s Creed: Valhalla received an unusual amount of content after launch, but you have to consider that there was no new game for the franchise in 2021 and no sequel this year, either. That’s why Ubisoft Montréal, for example, added roguelike gameplay mode The Forgotten Saga and a Dawn of Ragnarok add-on to the Assassin’s Creed title that also acted as a launch title on current-gen consoles. The game reached its final post-launch content update.

The French publisher has announced that The Last Chapter will arrive in December and will “tie up some of the storylines developed throughout the game and offer closure to your time among the Raven Clan,” according to Ubisoft. There are several conditions to access the new content. Complete the main story so that each of England’s territories is tied to us; complete the mythological story threads related to Asgard and Jotunheim; settle at level five and build Jomsviking barracks; and kill all the Order of the Ancients targets and reveal their leader.

“As [Assassin’s Creed:] Valhalla’s post-launch is ending, we have some updates to share on production. We will no longer be running the time-limited festival events in Ravensthorpe. For those who did not have the chance to participate in the Yule, Ostara, Sigrblot, or Oskoreia Festivals, all rewards from past festivals will be available at all merchants throughout England upon completing the quest The First Night of Samhain (Glowecestrescire arc). This will allow you to acquire rewards you might have missed in exchange for silver. We will also add brand-new rewards in this update to thank you for your continued support!

Assassin’s Creed Valhalla has been built as a unique Assassin’s Creed experience, one that is very different from its predecessors in its structure, offering new ways of engaging with the world and its characters. When investigating the implementation of New Game+, we realized that the depth of the game gave us limited options to make replayability unique and rewarding.”” Ubisoft wrote.

The Last Update arrives on December 6 for PlayStation 5, Xbox Series, PC, PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and Amazon Luna.
