[TGA 2022] Bayonetta Origins Announcement, the Switch Exclusive Title Already Has a Release Date! [VIDEO]

At The Game Awards, the show’s host Geoff Keighley announced that a new Bayonetta spin-off will be coming exclusively to Nintendo Switch early next year. Bayonetta Origins: Cereza and the Lost Demon lands on the hybrid platform on March 17, 2023 for $59.99, with pre-orders now live on the Switch eShop.

In the new storybook-style game, players assume the role of Cereza, a young apprentice witch who embarks on a fateful journey into a forbidden forest to gain the power to save her mother. During the gameplay of the new adventure, players will also control Cereza’s infernal demon companion, Cheshire (with an emphasis on exploration, combat, and puzzle solving).

If you can’t wait to get your hands on it, it looks like you won’t have to wait long – you can get a short playable teaser for Bayonetta Origins inside the third title, Bayonetta 3:

“Players who want to get a taste of the game won’t have to wait long at all. In fact, a short playable teaser for Bayonetta Origins: Cereza and the Lost Demon will be available inside Bayonetta 3. Players who purchased the old picture book at Rodin’s shop in The Gates of Hell with in-game currency and unlocked it with three keys”.

The physical appearance has also been strengthened. Here’s a look at the game’s trailer:
