God Of War: Ragnarök: The Game Reaches A Major Milestone!

God of War: Ragnarök continues to sell spectacularly well, with the sequel crossing another significant sales milestone just three months after launch.

God of War: Ragnarök has passed a huge and impressive sales milestone. Released in November 2022, the game was an instant hit. Fans and critics flocked to try the final chapter in the sequel series that began with 2018’s God of War. Christopher Judge, the actor who provided the voice and motion capture for the series’ protagonist Kratos, won the 2022 Game Award for Best Actor.

God of War 2018 sold more than 5 million copies within a month of its April 2018 release and more than 23 million copies by November 2022.

Marvel’s Spider-Man only beat its sales figures. This makes God of War the second best-selling PS4 game of all time. It is also the biggest-selling game in the long-running God of War series.

According to the latest sales figures released by Sony, God of War: Ragnarök sold 5.1 million copies in its November 2022 release week. That number has since nearly doubled. The game sold more than 11 million units worldwide just three months after its release. This makes God of War: Ragnarök PlayStation Studios’ fastest-selling title to date. Developer Santa Monica Studio celebrated the milestone in a tweet thanking fans for the game’s massive success.

Ragnarök was one of the best-selling games of 2022, alongside other gaming juggernauts such as Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2, Pokemon Scarlet and Violet and Elden Ring.

Some critics and fans felt the sequel was a little too similar to its 2018 predecessor. However, a slightly more subdued reaction has not slowed sales. Moreover, the developers are not sitting on their laurels. As an example of this, they have already added several improvements and minor additions to the game since its launch. A good example is the long-awaited Photo Mode, which has been available since 5 December, but which we haven’t yet remembered.

Ragnarök’s Photo Mode offers players various options to create the perfect artwork.

For example, they can capture the facial expressions of characters such as Kratos, Atreus, Freya, Brok, Sindri, Angrboda, Thor and Thrud.

In photo mode, you can also hide primary or secondary characters.

Moreover, you can manipulate things like field of view, focal length, depth of field and f-stop. In addition, you can tinker with film grain and exposure settings. It is also possible to apply frames, logos and vignettes to any photo.
