A new single-player game called Titanfall Legends was developed by Electronic Arts, but it will no longer be available because the company canceled it!
Bad news for Titanfall fans, sit down now… Yes, the news is even worse than the general disappointment that Titanfall fans usually have to endure.
Titanfall fans have been begging developer Respawn Entertainment to return to the series for years, and according to a new report from Bloomberg , Jason Schreier says something was indeed in the works. Unfortunately, it is no longer there.
Following a disappointing earnings report, EA recently postponed Respawn’s Star Wars Jedi: Survivor and announced that they would be shutting down Apex Legends Mobile. But it looks like they’ve also quietly canceled another project that wasn’t even announced (and now probably never will be). That project was said to be Titanfall Legends, a new single-player adventure set in the Titanfall/Apex Legends shared universe. Titanfall 2 lead designer Mohammad Alavi reportedly led the game until he left the company late last year for unknown reasons. About 50 people working on the project will be transferred elsewhere within the company.
Although Titanfall Legends was never revealed publicly, Respawn has repeatedly hinted that a Titanfall-related game might be in the works.
