Five New Games Have Been Added To The PlayStation VR2 Launch Period!

Solaris Offworld Combat 2 and Green Hell VR have also been added to the VR headset line-up for next week.

The five previously unannounced games have surfaced on the German PlayStation Blog. Green Hell VR, Gorn, Solaris Offworld Combat, Project Wingman and Wanderer Remastered have joined the list. Green Hell VR is the VR edition of Incuvo’s open-world survival game, in which you control Jake Higgins, an anthropologist in the Amazonian rainforest. The second is a VR-exclusive gladiator game from Free Lives (Broforce, Genital Jousting). The third is a futuristic multiplayer FPS from First Contact Entertainment (Firewall Zero Hour, Firewall Ultra; a sequel to their 2020 game). The fourth is by Sector D2, and it’s an arcade flying game similar to Ace Combat from the Australian studio. The fifth is a remastered version of the time travel adventure/puzzle game from Mighty Eyes, released on PC a year ago.

Twisted Metal has not yet been announced, but there’s a good chance it will be made for PlayStation VR2 and PC, alongside the previously rumored PlayStation 5/PlayStation 4 duo. Allegedly, Firesprite is developing it, and they have a job posting for the principal physics programmer – multiplayer action position. The listing also hints at PlayStation VR2 support and simultaneous release on PC on launch day and mentions that it would be helpful if the candidate has developed in VR and that knowledge of the Steam and PlayStation Network backend would be necessary. And the game has been described as “blending genre-transcending gameplay mechanics around vehicular and on-foot combat.” It sounds like twisted metal…
