MOVIE NEWS – Lucasfilm CEO Kathleen Kennedy has announced how much time Indiana Jones 5 (officially titled Indiana Jones and the Dial of Destiny) will take up when it hits theatres.
If Indiana Jones is your favourite archaeologist, this year could be a good one for you. Many fans are looking forward to reliving Harrison Ford’s adventures on the big screen. With a whip in hand and his legendary hat on his head, more details of Indiana Jones 5 have emerged. The Star Wars Celebration revealed, among other things, how long it will last.
As reported by Vida Extra, The Dial of Destiny will be a rather long film compared to the rest of the Indiana Jones saga. According to Kathleen Kennedy, director of Lucasfilm, Indiana Jones 5 will last a total of 2 hours and 22 minutes.
It’s worth noting that the previous film in the franchise lasted 2 hours and 7 minutes and was already the longest.
What do we know about the Indiana Jones game?
The game, which comes alongside the film, is being developed by MachineGames, the makers of the recent Wolfenstein games. We recently reported that a Lucas Arts veteran had been brought in to co-direct the game. However, details are sketchy at the moment. But fans are confident that the studio can deliver a satisfying experience.
At least Todd Howard has made it clear that the game they are working on is “a love letter to the fans”. As for the platforms it will be released on, all indications are that it will be multiplatform. This is due to the fact that it is a Disney IP. So initially, it will come to PC, Xbox X Series X/S and PS5. No release date has been announced yet, but it would not be unusual for Indiana Jones to debut on this console generation in 2024.
