Angry Gamers Review Bomb Horizon Forbidden West: Burning Shores DLC Because of Lesbian Protagonist

The PlayStation 5 exclusive is being boycotted by many and the Horizon Forbidden West: Burning Shores DLC is being negatively reviewed on Metacritic because they don’t like Aloy’s sexual orientation and don’t seem to be happy with the content either.

Horizon Forbidden West: Burning Shores DLC is the sequel to Horizon Forbidden West, where Aloy follows a new threat through the ruins of Los Angeles. The expansion promises new characters and experiences in a dangerous and beautiful new area.

However, it seems that players didn’t like this extra content, which can only be accessed after completing the Horizon Forbidden West main quest. Based on user reviews on Metacritic, the DLC has an average score of only 4.8 out of 10, which is quite low for such a popular game.

Players were mainly upset about the homosexual plot thread and the fact that the DLC was only available on PS5. A 0/10 player wrote: “It’s sad to see another great video game franchise sacrifice its great characters in the name of LGBTQ propaganda.” Other reviews include boring story, clichéd dialogue, and over-the-top dialogue. trip was criticized.

Among the negative reviews, there were also several complaints about the brevity of the DLC, the lack of new machines, the repetitive gameplay and the bugs. Many felt that the DLC didn’t add enough newness or depth to Horizon Forbidden West’s story, and that it was asking too much.

Of course, there are those who enjoyed the Burning Shores DLC and praised the visuals, atmosphere, voice actors, and action. However, these positive voices fade away next to the negative majority.

Horizon Forbidden West: Burning Shores DLC was released on April 18 for PlayStation 5. The Horizon Forbidden West base game is available on both PlayStation 4 and PlayStation 5.
