Interestingly, the game’s system requirements seem fair and daunting, even at the recommended and ultra levels.

Bethesda and Arkane Austin have revealed exactly what kind of PC will be needed to run Redfall properly on:

“Minimum Spec,” minimum system requirements:

Operating system: Windows 10 x64 (no version number mentioned)
Processor: Intel Core i5-8400 at 2.8 GHz or AMD Ryzen 5 1600 or better
Memory: 16 GB RAM
Graphics card: Nvidia GeForce GTX 1070 or AMD Radeon RX 580 (6 GB VRAM), or better
Free storage: 100 GB (SSD)

Not mentioned, but internet connection due to Denuvo.

Processor: Intel Core i7-9700K at 3.6 GHz or AMD Ryzen 7 2700X or better
Memory: 32 GB RAM
Graphics Card: Nvidia GeForce RTX 3080, AMD Radeon RX 6800 XT (10 GB VRAM), or better
Free storage: 100 GB (SSD)
Internet connection (Denuvo)

Strange that the processors on the ultra list are the same. The memory requirements are a bit steep for an Unreal Engine 4 game (16/32 GB), but for VRAM, the minimum is 6 GB. Those with a 2 GB card (some of us have one) can forget it. In this respect, the demand has tripled because in 2017 and 2018, 2-3 GB of VRAM was enough!

And the gross thing is what Windows Central editor Jez Corden posted on Twitter: the disc edition of Redfall says it runs at 60 FPS, but some copies have a sticker on them that says “60 FPS Performance mode will not be available at launch”, which means Arkane Austin has recently changed their plans. It is embarrassing.

Redfall will be released on May 2 for Xbox Series and PC.
