Leaked Specs For AMD Radeon RX 7800 XTX, 7800 XT, And 7700 XT?

TECH NEWS – One thing we can be sure of is that AMD is fairer than Nvidia when it comes to VRAM, and they’re giving you more for less, which can make a world of difference for most games…

RedGamingTech (RGT) discussed the AMD Radeon RX 7800 XTX, RX 7800 XT, and RX 7700 XT in this video. Built on the Navi 31 chip, the RX 7800 XTX will have 16GB of GDDR6 VRAM, a 256-bit bus, and approximately 300W of power consumption, and is intended to be a performance rival to the GeForce RTX 4070 Ti. According to RGT, this product will eventually not be launched by AMD. The RX 7800 XT is slightly slower than the RTX 4070 Ti, with 60 CU, 2.6 GHz clock speed (boost 2.8), and 64 MB of cache. The FP32 peak computing performance will be 43 TFLOPs and a minimum of 40 TFLOPs. It has 16 GB of VRAM, a 256-bit bus, and a maximum power consumption of 285W.

The RX 7700 XT will have a maximum computing power of 32 but a minimum of 29.4 TFLOPs, a maximum power consumption of 225W, and 48 MB of cache. AMD had planned a 54 CU version of it but was dropped by the company, according to RGT. The RX 7600 XT will replace the previous generation 6650/6700 XT cards, while the RX 7600 will retire the 6600/6650 XT. AMD will produce more of the Navi 33 chip so that mass production will occur. AMD has long struggled to maintain boost clock speeds, while Nvidia is not notable for it. The Navi 32 and 33 chips may or may not make a difference.

Sasa Marinkovic, AMD’s senior director of video game marketing, pointed out on Twitter that AMD’s cards offer more VRAM at a lower cost than the competition. A 16 GB card can be had from them in the US for $499, while for Nvidia, it starts at $1199! On average, the RX 6800 is $50 cheaper than the RTX 3070, but the RTX 4070 12 GB starts at $600. RX 6800 XT with 16 GB VRAM is around $649, but you can get it for $599 overseas.

The RX 7900 XT is about $50 more than the RTX 4070 Ti, but they’ve been around for the same price, and meanwhile, AMD’s card offers 8 GB more VRAM. The RX 7900 XT is $1000 with 24 GB of VRAM, while the RTX 4080 with 16 GB of VRAM is $1200. The only card with 24 GB from “the greens” is the top-of-the-range RTX 4090, which costs around 1600 dollars, but it is also a far different level of performance compared to the others.

There is, however, a cheaper card with 16 GB VRAM: the Intel Arc A770, which lags behind the other two companies in performance…
