Horror Fans Beware! The Clock Tower Nightmare Returns to the Latest Consoles and PC!

The nightmare begins again: Sunsoft announced that they will re-release the cult horror game Clock Tower for PlayStation 5, Xbox Series, PlayStation 4, Xbox One, Nintendo Switch and PC platforms. The game was originally released in 1995 for Super Famicom console, and has since received several sequels and remakes.

Clock Tower is a point-and-click style game, where players control Jennifer Simpson, an orphan girl who ends up in a mysterious mansion with her friends. However, in the mansion there is a scissor-wielding psychopathic killer who chases them, known as Scissorman. Players have to escape from the killer, while discovering the mysteries and secrets of the mansion.

The game has multiple endings, which depend on the players’ decisions and actions. The game’s atmosphere and music also contribute to the horror experience, which many compare to the works of Stephen King and Dario Argento. The game had a great influence on later horror games, such as Resident Evil or Silent Hill.

The new edition of Clock Tower will arrive in spring 2023 and will also be available digitally. Sunsoft promises to improve and optimize the game for the new consoles and PC, as well as to remain faithful to the original gameplay and atmosphere. The price of the game is not yet known, but it is expected to be favorable for both old and new fans.
