The Walking Dead: Dead City: We Never Thought We’d See These Guys Again!

MOVIE NEWS – It seems The Walking Dead franchise hasn’t abandoned its dumbest zombies, who have returned in episode 4 of The Walking Dead: Dead City. Attention! SPOILERS are coming!

The Walking Dead franchise’s dumbest zombies are back in The Walking Dead: Dead City spinoff. Typically in the TWD series, the zombies all follow the same rules. After all, they’re all sluggish, mindless killing machines. However, there are some who defy what is usually expected of the traditional zombie.

Over the years, The Walking Dead has found a way to shake up the plot by pitting characters against zombies who stand out in one way or another.

To do this, the franchise introduced a memorably disgusting-looking walker. Or a zombie that is somehow harder to kill than others. Many of these scenarios work well within the franchise’s storyline. But the same can’t be said for all of them. Another type of zombie, whose presence in the franchise dates back to the earliest seasons of The Walking Dead, is typical of the franchise’s most insane episodes. It seems we haven’t managed to get rid of them.

The Sleeping Zombies of The Walking Dead return in Dead City Episode 4

The “lurkers” introduced in the comics and later introduced in the series are inert zombies. Lying on the ground, they blend in perfectly with the dead. The vast majority of walkers roam endlessly in search of fresh meat. However, lurkers remain motionless until an unsuspecting survivor crosses their path. In the original series, the main characters were often tormented. They do it again in episode 4 of The Walking Dead: Dead City. While crawling through a subway tunnel, the protagonists must carefully pass a group of slumbering zombies.

Their presence allows for a degree of suspense. However, the franchise hasn’t really deepened the concept behind the lurkers. After all, a zombie has no real reason to sleep. Because it doesn’t need energy. This is evident from the fact that zombies can wander for miles without needing to rest. Lurkers, on the other hand, do not follow these rules. This makes their behaviour confusing. These walkers, who exist primarily for the jump scare, rather than being rooted in the zombie lore of The Walking Dead, make it difficult to take them seriously…
