Tomba Is Back! The Legendary Piggy Adventure Game Will Be Playable Again on the Latest Consoles and PC

Tomba, one of the most popular and unique platform games of the 90s, will soon be available again for gamers. Whoopee Camp studio announced that they will release Tomba and Tomba 2: The Evil Swine Return games remastered and expanded for PS5, PS4, Switch and PC platforms.

The Tomba series is about a pink-haired boy who gets into adventures on a magical island. The gameplay is a unique mix of 2D and 3D platform elements, logic puzzles, RPG-like progression and humorous story. Players have to not only jump and fight, but also solve various missions, which help them unlock new areas and items.

Tomba originally came out in 1997 for PlayStation, and its sequel in 1999. The games were a big success among critics and fans, but they became rare and expensive over the years. Whoopee Camp decided to revive the series and improve the graphics, sound and controls with modern technology. The games will include the original Japanese voice acting as well, as well as some new extras, such as galleries, mini-games and achievements.

Tomba and Tomba 2: The Evil Swine Return are expected to be released in spring 2023 for PS5, PS4, Switch and PC platforms. The games will be available digitally, but a limited number of physical copies will also be made. Whoopee Camp promises that the games will remain faithful to the original, but still fresh and enjoyable for today’s players.
