Xbox Game Pass: Legendary Game Coming Soon To The Service?!

If true, it’s easy to imagine the number of new sign-ups to Xbox Game Pass skyrocketing…

Xbox recently hinted at the possible Xbox Game Pass arrival of FromSoftware’s hit open-world action-RPG Elden Ring, a game for the year 2022.

Touted as FromSoftware studio’s first open-world, Souls-like game, Elden Ring captured the hearts and minds of millions of fans last year and soared to great heights on the sales charts.

It also won Game of the Year at The Game Awards 2022. It is widely hailed as one of the best games of all time. Elden Ring offers hours of intense gameplay and exploration, from the deep combat to the challenging, otherworldly boss battles to the sense of wonder that players experience on their own adventures in the expansive and dangerous open world.

Xbox vice president Sarah Bond has edited a tweet that appears to hint at a possible appearance of Elden Ring on Xbox Game Pass. The tweet consisted of just two emojis: an older man’s face and a ring, accompanied by the hashtag Xbox. Immediately below the post, Bond posted the emojis again, this time with an image from a game featuring the Elden Ring logo.

Seeing the VP of Xbox tweeting about the Elden Ring in this way, it seems like something is bound to happen. It’s important to note that Bond has done precisely the same thing on Twitter with several other games. Titles such as Ravenlok, Tunic, Grounded, Stardew Valley, and Psychonauts 2, as well as some of Xbox’s big upcoming games like Fable and Clockwork Revolution, have all received the same emoji treatment from Bond in recent weeks. Probably just as part of a fun guess for his followers.

Still, considering that all of those games are currently available on Xbox Game Pass or have been confirmed to be available in the future, it would be unwise to think that Elden Ring could make its way onto the service.

There’s no question that critically acclaimed behemoth Elden Ring would make a massive splash if it arrived on Game Pass. Increasing the number of subscribers right before Xbox’s own massive RPG Starfield hits the service on day one would be a significant move on the company’s part.
