iPhone SE 4 Is Coming – Leaker Reveals How Much Of An Improvement It Will Be!

TECH NEWS – The iPhone SE 4 will be released in 2025 with an action button, USB-C and potentially a 3nm chip for better performance.

Apple is already rumoured to be working on the next-generation model of the iPhone SE range. The current iPhone SE 3 has the same design as the iPhone 8. However, the device has improved internal units that can receive software updates for years. A new leaker has shared details about the iPhone SE 4 and what it will include in terms of design and features.

The iPhone SE lineup is Apple’s cheapest iPhone in recent years, and although the exterior design and form factor is a decade old, it’s still one of the best-performing devices.

With the iPhone SE 4, Apple is looking to introduce a more modern design similar to the iPhone 14. Minus some key features reserved for flagships, of course.

Now a leaker called Unknownz21 has shared on Twitter what he imagines the iPhone SE 4 will look like. They believe that the iPhone SE 4 will have a design based on the iPhone 14. This means that the sides will be flatter, and the display will be edge-to-edge. It also means that there will be no Home button on the device. This will make room for Face ID inside the notch, allowing for more advanced authentication and authorisation.

Previously, it was speculated that the company might include Touch ID on the side or power button, similar to the iPad mini 6. However, this would render the notch area completely unusable. From here on, this idea can be dropped in favour of Face ID in the notch. Apart from that, the iPhone SE 4 will be launched with a USB-C port. The same port that is expected to be part of the iPhone 15 model line. However, the company may limit its performance without Thunderbolt capabilities.

One attractive design feature the leaker shares is the addition of the Action Button. Currently, the Action Button is expected to arrive only with the iPhone 15 Pro and iPhone 15 Pro Max. Even the standard models are believed to be home to the long-rumoured Mute switch.

With the release of the iPhone SE 4 expected in 2025, it’s assumed that standard iPhone 16 models will also get the hardware upgrade, a year before the SE’s release.

Finally, the leaker shared that the new iPhone SE will feature a single rear camera on the back. The company is reserving the second lens for the more prestigious iPhone models. The budget iPhone would also follow the trend of rocking a single camera on the back. As for the internals, the device will be powered by a 3nm chip, potentially the A17 or A18 Bionic chip. This would streamline the entire iPhone family with a 3 nm processor for better performance and efficiency. All in all, the iPhone SE 4 could be a device that represents better value than the iPhone 14 models.
