The Exorcist: Believer Is Still Being Tested

MOVIE NEWS – A good specialist goes for sure, that’s why the test screenings of The Exorcist: Believer are still taking place. They are doing this in order to put the finishing touches on the finished film before the upcoming release in October, if the audience’s reactions are anything to go by. They acted similarly in the case of director David Gordon Green’s previous work, Halloween Ends, where they would have reached the finished production practically even at the last moment if they had to, but luckily the feedback was very positive.

In the history of the Exorcist franchise, continuous improvement of the films is not uncommon. The second part (Az ördögüző 2.: Az eretnek, 1977) was rewritten non-stop during filming, and the third part (Az ördögüző 3, 1990) was still in post-production was also shaped during The strangest case, which is also unique in the history of cinema, is connected to the prequel film of 2004. The Exorcist: The Beginning didn’t go well, so the creators decided to give it another go. They rewrote the existing piece, rotated it, cut the material together, and this is how The Exorcist: Dominion was created, which was actually better than the piece a year earlier. But it wasn’t so viable that the exorcist franchise wouldn’t have been parked for a longer period of time. Now you can hope for it because it is in good hands. Studio Blumhouse and director David Godon Green successfully brought back Halloween in the form of a trilogy in recent years, and they plan to do the same with The Exorcist. The sequel to the current film (The Exorcist: Believer) is already in preparation and will be released next autumn.
