Titanfall 2: A Shocking Update 7 Years After the Game’s Launch!

Titanfall 2 is bringing players an update that introduces a brand new game mode almost seven years after the title’s original release.

Almost seven years after its original release, Titanfall 2 has announced a new game mode. This comes as quite a surprise as the title has not received any significant updates for a long time, apart from bug fixes. The game is one of the best FPSs with excellent shooting and transition mechanics, and the new game mode is exciting news for fans of the franchise who previously felt abandoned by Respawn Entertainment.

The original Titanfall was released in 2014 and was a console exclusive for Xbox. The multiplayer-only game did not fare well with critics. But that didn’t stop Respawn from releasing Titanfall 2 two years later. The new game had a pretty good single-player campaign and a multiplatform release. It was hailed as a vast improvement over its predecessor.

However, Titanfall 2 was a good game that came out at the wrong time and lost the spotlight to games like Battlefield 1 and Call of Duty: Infinite Warfare, which prevented it from being as successful as it could have been.

Now, an account called alphaINTEL, which reports on Titanfall and Apex Legends news, has revealed that Titanfall 2 will have a new game mode called “???”.

This game mode will allow infinite rockets, so players can return and blow up everything with unlimited ammo. Interestingly, the description of the new mode refers to a quote from Frank Miller’s comic book 300: “Your rockets will block the sun”, which is essentially the same sentence as in the original, but with the arrows replaced by rockets.

Delivering updates like this so many years after the release of a game is a bit odd. So many fans are already wondering if this could mean the franchise is back. A few days ago, some fans came up with a theory that Titanfall 3 could be coming sooner rather than later.

They saw a cryptic message on Apex Legends that used some numbers that hinted at release dates for previous games in the franchise.

However, players should not get their hopes up just yet, as Titanfall 3 has been cancelled after nearly a year in development. According to the developers, several issues with the multiplayer mode and a dwindling player base led to the project being shelved a few years ago. So, it is far from certain that the studio will try again to develop a sequel. In any case, players should wait for the official announcement of Titanfall 3 before getting too excited about the possibility.
